How to spot a fake email
How to Identify Official TPG Communication:
-
Official Domains: TPG official communications are always sent from @tpg.ir or @tpg.express.
-
No Free Services: We never use free email providers such as @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, or @outlook.com to communicate with our customers.
-
Official Links: We never link to a website other than our official domains, such as https://tpg.ir/, https://tpg.com/, or our dedicated tracking and shop portals.
-
Content Red Flags: Even if the sender's name looks legitimate, always inspect the content. Be wary of:
-
An overly urgent or threatening tone.
-
Grammatical errors and poor spelling.
-
Links to unfamiliar URLs or unexpected file attachments.
-
How to Report Suspicious Emails:
From a Desktop Computer: Do not simply forward the email. Instead, Drag & Drop the suspicious message into a new email and send it as an attachment to fraud@tpg.ir. Sending it as an attachment allows our security team to inspect the "mail headers," which are essential for shutting down fraudulent services.
From a Mobile Device:
-
Forward the message to fraud@tpg.ir.
-
Report the message as Spam within your mail app so your provider can take appropriate action.
Fraudulent SMS
SMS scams often attempt to create a sense of urgency, such as claiming a package is held at customs or a delivery address is missing. Use these indicators to identify a fake SMS:
-
Shortened URLs: Scammers often use shortened links (e.g., https://bit.ly/, https://t.ly/, or https://tinyurl.com/) to hide the actual destination of the link. TPG never uses shortened links for payments.
-
Generic Sender Names: Instead of an official number or "TPG," the sender might appear as a generic name like "Delivery," "Parcel," or "Post."
-
Unusual Country Prefixes: If the SMS comes from a phone number with an unexpected country code (e.g., +235, +63, etc.) while you are expecting a local delivery, it is likely a scam.
-
Requests for Personal Info: TPG will never ask for your passwords, credit card CVV, or social security numbers via SMS.
How to Report a Suspicious SMS:
If you receive a suspicious SMS claiming to be from TPG:
-
Take a Screenshot of the message, ensuring the sender's number is visible.
-
Send the screenshot via email to fraud@tpg.ir.
-
Do not click on any links or provide any personal information.
-
Block the sender's number on your mobile device immediately.
raudulent Social Media & WhatsApp Accounts
Scammers often create fake profiles to trick users. Be cautious if you encounter a TPG-branded account with these characteristics:
-
Lack of Verification: The account does not have an official verification badge (e.g., the blue checkmark).
-
Suspicious Transitions: The account insists on moving the conversation to private encrypted apps like WhatsApp or Telegram to request payments or personal info.
-
New Accounts: The profile was created very recently (only a few days or weeks old).
-
Too-Good-To-Be-True Offers: The account promises "Free Visas," "Free International Flights," or "Investment Doubling." TPG never makes such offers.
-
Poor Visual Quality: The profile picture (DP) or background image uses low-quality or distorted TPG logos.
How to Report:
-
Do not share any personal data or shipment tracking numbers with these accounts.
-
Send the URL (link) of the profile or the Phone Number to phishing@tpg.ir.
-
Use the "Report as Fraud" feature directly within the social media platform (Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.).
Hacked TPG Accounts
If you receive unexpected notifications regarding changes to your account—such as updates to your delivery address, email changes, or password reset alerts that you did not initiate—your account may be at risk.
Immediate Actions to Take:
-
Change Your Password: Log in to your TPG account immediately and update your password to a strong, unique one.
-
Verify Your Info: Check your saved addresses and contact details to ensure no unauthorized changes were made.
-
Report the Incident: If you have lost access to your account or cannot log in, please report this incident immediately via our Customer Support or email us at security@tpg.ir.

-
No Intermediary Transactions: TPG is not involved in buying/selling money transactions between individuals or companies.
-
No Escrow for Second-Hand Goods: TPG does not act as an intermediary, depository, or escrow agent in the trade of second-hand goods (e.g., transactions on marketplace platforms).
-
Official Communication: TPG always uses official domains (@tpg.ir or @tpg.com) for all email communications.
-
Payment Links: For shipping costs, TPG does not typically send unsolicited payment links to the contracting party. Payment links for customs duties or taxes are only sent to the consignee (recipient) of a confirmed shipment, clearly identified by a tracking number.
-
Account Opening: We never request bank or credit card details via email during the account opening process. Such information is only handled during formal contract signing.
Fraudulent Use of the TPG Brand
Unauthorized Use of Name and Logo Attempts have been made to defraud online shoppers through the unauthorized use of the TPG name and brand via emails and graphics that appear to originate from us. Most of these scams involve the sale of consumer goods online, where payment is requested before delivery.
Official Payment Procedures:
-
Limited Requests: The only payments TPG requests via email or SMS are for Customs Duties, Taxes, and Official Shipping Charges.
-
Security Measure (OTP): To ensure your safety, TPG uses a One-Time Password (OTP) system. An OTP is sent to the consignee’s registered contact number to verify and authorize the payment process.
-
Liability: TPG accepts no responsibility for any costs, charges, or payments incurred as a result of fraudulent activity or improper use of our brand by third parties.
